IN THE FIELD & EXHIBITIONS

As a wildlife / sporting artist I try to spend as much time as possible out in the hills that surround my home / studio. I am
lucky enough to have access to a number of top Scottish sporting estates and a good range of game species inc. Red
Grouse, Blackcock and Pheasant within a few miles of home. In addition to some of the finest salmon fishing beats in the
world with famous beats like the Kings Hut, Junction Pool and March Pool.

My paintings now hang in private and corporate collections all over the world and commissions have taken me from arctic
Lapland in the far north of Finland to the West Indies to paint rare St Vincent Parrots. If you would like to discuss any ideas
for a commission, please contact me. If you would like an invite to a forth coming exhibition then please e-mail your contact
details so we can add you to our invitation list.
If you are visiting Speyside and would like to visit the studio please contact me.

Spey fishing beats

I am lucky enough to live with in a few miles of one of the
worlds finest salmon rivers and a few yards from one of
the lesser known rivers thats water goes to make the
best single malt whisky in the world. I have spent many a
great days at the various estate fishing beats working on
sketches for clients commissions.

Work ranges from views of the river, clients fly fishing for
salmon and trout to the wildlife that can be found along
the river banks. This includes, Ring-neck Pheasant,
Otter, Gooseander and Osprey.

If you have any ideas you would like to discuss for a
commission please don't hesitate to contact me. If you
don't get an answer on the phone, please leave a
message. I may be on the river!

Spey Salmon Season

Highland estate shooting seasons

The local estate in the glen where I live and work has a
good range of sporting shoots through the year. With Red
and Roe deer on the hills that are managed through
good stalking opportunities and  a selection of game
birds throughout the glen. This gives me a wide range of
subjects and the change of seasons bring new options
for paintings with clients visiting from all over the world.

With a set of Pheasant and Partridge release pens close
to the studio we get a steady stream of game bird
subjects roaming the field outside my window. What
more can one ask for. Up on the hill we have a small but
recovering population of Red Grouse and on the Ben just
a mile further down the road we have a good group of
Ptarmigan ( although its a two and half our climb to see
them ). In all with the woodcock down near the burn I am
one very lucky wildlife / sporting artist.

studio please contact me.

Exhibitions past & present

Much of my time is spent working to
commission. However, I do like to do
an exhibition if possible once a year.

Over the years I have been involved in
exhibitions in London's Cork Street and
St James to help raise funds for the
Game Conservancy Trust, World
Pheasant Association and Parrot
Society these are in addition to my own
solo shows in England, Scotland and
Australia.

My paintings now hang in private and
