Welcome to the website of Highland wildlife artist Tim Niall-Harris specializing in Scottish game birds paintings Scottish salmon fishing beats, shoots along the Spey and exotic rainforest species of the world.
Living and working in the Highlands of Scotland providing fine art, paintings, bronze sculpture and professional art services to private and corporate clients.
The local Spey valley estates in the glen where I live and work has a good range of game birds on the sporting shoots through the year. With Red and Roe deer on the hills that are managed through good stalking opportunities and a selection of game birds throughout the glen. This gives me a wide range of subjects and the change of seasons bring new options for paintings with clients visiting from all over the world.
My paintings now hang in private and corporate collections all over the world and commissions have taken me from arctic Lapland in the far north of Finland to the West Indies to paint rare St Vincent Parrots. Taking part in regular exhibitions of wildlife art paintings of upland game birds inc. Red Grouse, Black Grouse, Partridge, Ring-neck Pheasant, Woodcock, Capercaillie and sporting art.

Pheasant & Partridge Paintings
The studio is situated in a quiet glen in the Highlands of Scotland. The glen is also home to a small Spey side sporting estate which offers a range of classic Highland shooting options and game birds. Due to this location I am lucky enough to have a good number of pheasants, partridges and at certain periods of the year the illusive woodcock around the studio. Needless to say they become the subjects of many of my paintings. Click here

Parrot & Rainforest Avian Art
Over the years I have travelled the throughout Australia, Africa and the West Indies in pursuit of the more colourful exotic avian species of the world. These exotic species and their natural habitats provide a different set of painting challenges. However, catching a bird in its natural rainforest home or its dry desert habitat is one of my great pleasures and I continue to paint parrots, hornbills and many of the lesser known species of the world. Grouse Art Gallery Pages
Grouse paintings make up a large part of the painting portfolio Red Grouse, Black Grouse, Capercaillie and the Ptarmigan all live within a few miles of the studio. When not working to commission I will often return to the Red Grouse that live on the hill above the studio for inspiration. The grouse butts on the Conval may not be in use but there is a small recovering population that I have painted on many occasions. To view the grouse art gallery please click here
